Parents of students entering the Blue Valley School District
should call the appropriate high school to schedule an appointment
with the counselor.
New students should bring with them
as many of the following as possible.
- Transfer grades
- Unofficial copy
of transcript and correct name, address, and phone
number of previous school and accreditation
information.
- Any pertinent background on curriculum
from previous school (i.e., texts used course description
book from
previous school,
information helpful in correlating correct placement
in courses here)
- Health/Immunization records
(Note: These records are required before students
may attend class)
- Sports eligibility information
(If applicable)
- Special testing information and/or
psychological background (If applicable)
- Birth certificate
- Proof of residency
Students entering without one or more of the
necessary items listed above must sign
a waiver based upon
verbal information given to the receiving
counselor. They may also expect to take placement exams
if needed to determine
correct
level of placement.
Note: Blue Valley requires proof of accreditation from the
previous high school. Accredited schools will be considered
as those schools that can demonstrate accreditation from
a state or some similarly recognized professional educational
authority, official agency such as North Central Accreditation
Association or Kansas Quality Performance Accreditation.
