Information Line

A service of the Advisory Council and Student Services Department is the Special Education Information Line (InfoLine). When a parent has a question about services, procedures or resources, he or she can call (913) 239-4272, at the Blue Valley Service Center Special Education office. Parents may also contact the Special Education office online.

Calls will be answered between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The individual who answers the InfoLine will take the information or request and route it to an appropriate Blue Valley staff member for a response. Parents can also access the phone number to make connections with other parents so they can support each other in navigating through the educational system, or in finding friendships for their children. When the phone is not answered, voice mail is available for leaving messages. Questions and requests for assistance should be directed to building-level staff and administration when possible.

Email Distribution List

The Special Education Advisory Council has also created an email distribution list to facilitate the distribution of information regarding programs and events sponsored by the Special Education Advisory Council; special education events sponsored by other neighboring school districts; and informational programs sponsored by organizations in the community. If you would like to be included on this distribution list please fill out this form. NOTE: Please t ype "sped email list" in the subject line and make sure to add your name in the message area.

If you wish to discontinue receiving these emails, just fill out the form and type "unsubscribe" in the subject line.
