The approval process for student teaching in
the Blue Valley School District requires candidates to complete
and return forms. These forms are sent to individual universities or colleges. They must be returned to the Blue Valley School District prior to student teaching.
A criminal background check will be completed. Every student teacher is required to receive
a TB (Tuberculosis) skin test. If you have had a TB test
within the past year,
we will accept it, but if it has been more than one year
you will need to have the test repeated. This must be completed
and the form turned in before your assignment starts.
Student teachers will have access to the Blue
Valley computer network after reading and completing the
Network Use Guidelines for Non-Employees
and Non-Student Users. District email is not available to student teachers.
All student teachers must have an ID badge. It is the responsibility
of each student teacher to obtain his/her badge from the school of his/her assigned building. Student teachers must wear the badge
while on duty and return the badge at the end of his/her
student teaching assignment.
