Computerized Point of Sale
Each school uses a computerized point of sale system. Purchases
are deducted from the student's account daily.
You may choose to have your student's account
set up to allow only one meal per day, without snack or a'la
carte items being purchased. You may also set a dollar amount
limit to be spent each day. These options need to be discussed
with the school's
food service manager.
At any time during the year, you may
ask for a printout of your student's account activity.
This will show lunches
as well as extra food items purchased. Call the Food & Nutrition
services office at 913-239-4062 to request a copy.
Accessing Your Lunch Account
Elementary Students
There
are two ways students can access their meal account.
- Plastic cards - Cards are kept
on a rack in the cafeteria and
collected as students go to the cashier.
- Keypads - Students
enter their student ID number and state their name
to the cashier. In order to keep students from using other
students' accounts, name on screen must match stated name.
Secondary Students
- Keypads - All students will have to
know their student ID number. Students will enter their
student ID number and
state their name to the cashier. In order to keep students
from using other students accounts, name on screen must
match stated name. BV Food & Nutrition Services may
require positive identification if a student is suspected
of using another number. Students are encouraged to use
their lunch account - it will provide faster, more efficient
service.
