General Information-All Positions 2011-2012
Things to consider if you are seriously considering running for an office:
- Be prepared to work hard and devote time to extra activities.
- Always represent Blue Valley North in a positive way both inside and outside of school.
- Set an example to the other students
- Be respectful to your teachers.
- Be on time.
- Be Polite.
- Promote and participate in Student Council activities.
Speeches (Student Council Office or Class Office only):
Candidate running for Student Council Office or Class Office need to sign up with Mr. Huette April 4-7th to have speeches recorded. Speeches should be creative, informative, and appropriate no more than 90 seconds in length. Speeches will be broadcasted during Advisory April 14th, voting will take place online April 14th-April 15th .

Do not put up any signs until notice has been given by Mrs. Nathan.
- All signs must be approved before they are put up
- All signs must be neat and spelled correctly.
- All signs must be rated G.
- Make signs colorful and catchy - use a theme.
- You are responsible for your own signs - if they fall you are responsible for putting them back up.
- You must take down all of your signs by the afternoon of the Election. No results will be posted until all signs are down.
Applications:
- Available Monday March 21-29 from Mrs. Nathan in room 242
- On back table- be sure to pick up the one for YOUR class NEXT year and you sign your name-stating you received the packet and know it is due March 30
- The following forms will be due Wed. March 30 by 3pm
- Forms must be completely filled out to be accepted-
- Student signature
- Parent signature
- Class Sponsor signature
- 5 current teacher recommendation signatures
- Forms should be given to Mrs. Nathan and name checked off, do not leave any forms with other teachers, on my desk, or under the door!
Potential Candidate Names will be forward to all BVN staff for feedback.
