Hello OTMS community!

My name is Melissa Hansen, and I am starting my third year as assistant principal at Overland Trail Middle School this fall.  Both my undergraduate and graduate degrees are from Emporia State University.  My teaching experiences include social studies and PE at both the middle school and high school levels, but a majority of my background has been in special education.  My previous administrative experience was at Blue Valley High School.  My husband Chris and I have a daughter, Hannah, who will be turning fourthis fall and a son, Hank, who is 4 months old.  I enjoy running, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

It is a joy to be part of the Overland Trail family and to be associated with the great things that are happening at OTMS!
