Summer Camps

Summer is in the air-or at least we hope it will be soon!

Two quick items from our library media center:

1). Students are asked to return all the books they have finished by TODAY Friday, May 17th. All classes who have 100% of their books returned or accounted for (i.e. payment for lost or damaged books) will be entered in a drawing for a popcorn and movie party to be held the last week of school.

2). Summer is a great time for students to maintain those reading skills they have worked so hard on all year. Please see the attachment for some summer reading programs that are going on locally and online.

Go For the Gold Summer Reading Program

Go for the Gold this summer with the Valley Park Summer Reading Program!  Every school year you must turn in reading minutes for homework, so here’s a chance to turn them in for FUN AND PRIZES!

Reading logs will be collected August 15th and 16th.

Everyone that turns in a Summer Reading Log will be invited to an Ice Cream Social the week of August 26th (date TBD) -  where drawings for awesome prizes will be based on achievement of Gold, Silver and Bronze reading minute levels.
