The Blue Valley Board of Education recently
discussed the impact of the economic downturn that has slowed enrollment growth
in the district and how it relates to the opening of three new schools. After
discussion, the new schools are planned to open according to the original schedule: Timber Creek Elementary in August 2009, Blue
Valley Southwest
High School in August
2010 and Middle School 10 in August 2011.

reaffirmed last year's plan to re-examine the preliminary boundaries this year for
Timber Creek Elementary

Valley Southwest
High School and Middle
School 10. The recommendation that was approved by the Board last February was
a "preliminary" boundary recommendation.
