Blue Valley Academy is an educational program designed
to offer students an alternative learning experience.
The Academy offers a more personalized environment
based on the needs and abilities of the students.
Schedules
are designed to allow students to study math, social
studies, language arts, science and electives needed
to graduate. Learning expectations at the
Academy are the same as in any other school.
Blue Valley Academy is currently
a 10th-12th grade program and is limited to 80-85 students.
Some students take courses at their home school as
well as at
the Academy. Like the high schools, the Academy offers work release, Quick
Step,
independent study and correspondence courses as needed.
The learning environment
at the Academy reflects the creativity, collaboration
and innovation of the staff, students and parents working together. It
is built on a respect between the staff and students
working toward mutual goals.
