April 2008: Mass grading of the site is well under way. The site is in the process of being stripped, which means the contractor is removing grass and topsoil from the site. The topsoil is being placed in a stockpile on the southeast end of the site for use in later phases of the project. McAninch is also working on the grading of the building pad, and is working diligently to provide daily progress on the site.
So far, the weather has only stopped them for a couple of days. They have been working five days a week in general. At this point, McAninch is attempting to make the original end-of-March deadline on the pad delivery and the first of May on the rest of the site grading. We believe this is possible depending on weather conditions over the next six weeks. On March 17, a preconstruction meeting with Crossland Construction was held. They plan to move on-site as soon as the pad is ready and the building permit is secure.
