    Students will view a digital slideshow of Washington D.C. focusing on our nation's monuments and federal buildings.

    Wilderness Science Center

    Students will identify some common Kansas animals and match them with their fur, tracks, and skulls. Students will discuss and investigate special winter survival techniques by conducting an investigation on several different animal body covering types to discover which is the best insulator.Time and weather permitting, students can go outside with our thermometers to find winter shelter and/or evidence of animals in the area.

    Students will participate in hands on interactive learning activities involving the major regions of the United States.

    Where: Blue Valley District Office's gymnasium
    When: March 29, 2013, 8:15-2:15

    Volunteers: Five per classroom but more are welcome.  Parents will arrive at 8:00 AM to review and practice activities for their station.

     

    LegoLand

    Students will reinforce their understanding of force and motion by experimenting with racecars.
