Meet Mrs. Thompson!!

Hi! My name is Mrs. Thompson. This is my second year teaching LIFT at Stanley Elementary. Previously I taught second grade for six years at Overland Trail and 5 summers with ESY.  I am so excited to see all of my students and their families. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me.

  I grew up in Olathe, Kansas and I come from a very large family. I have four brothers, one sister, one nephew and three nieces. Fortunately many of us live 20 minutes from each other and get to see one another often. I went to Olathe East High School. From there I went to Kansas State University and received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Go Cats!!

Four years ago I finished my Master's Degree in Special Education at Pittsburg State University. I am a major sports fan! My favorite sport to watch is football and I can't wait to start my new fantasy football team.  When I am not watching a game, I love to read books and drink hot chocolate.

I currently live in Olathe and I am married to my High School Sweetheart, Drew. We have been married for seven years and have two wonderful dogs (a puggle named Lucy and a black lab named Ebenezer). We are expecting our first child, Amelia Diane, on October 1st.
