Second Grade Biography Sculptures

The second graders have been busy in their classrooms writing biographies. After talking about three dimensional art and sculpture, they used paper mache and bottles to make statues of their biography person in art class. Paper mache is a construction material that consists of pieces of paper stuck together using a wet paste. The crafted object becomes solid when the paste dries. Detail was added using markers, cut paper, yarn, and other receycled materials.
