BIRDS OF A DIFFERENT COLOR

The second graders have been studying ceramics in art class. They reviewed basic information about where clay comes from, how to build things out of clay, and how the kiln works. They then used a pinch pot/ coiling technique to make their own little "bird  bath." After firing them in the kiln, they used watercolors and gloss to finish their sculptures.
