ARTichokes
ARTichokes in Mission Farms was founded by Megan Sutherland and two local artists, Rebecca Pashia and Jackie Warren.The classes ARTichokes offers varies for different ages, but they promise to always be fun and educational. Each class is taught by a local professional, and continues for 4 weeks.

ARTRAGEOUS
What a fun place!!!! Artrageous offers afterschool and summer classes for children of all ages. The classes work with a variety of different media while focusing on the principles of design and elements of art! All classes are taught by a certified art teacher.

Kansas City Art Institute
The Kansas City Art Institute offers a variety of spring and summer courses. A few examples are Cartooning and Storytelling and Clay Creativity. Classes are five, two hour sessions that usually take place on Saturdays or Sundays. An interesting fact about KCAI is that Walt Disney, the famed animator, took Saturday classes at KCAI when he was a boy. They were his only formal training in art!

Saturday Scavenger Hunts at the Kemper
Hone your art detective skills and discover something new about contemporary art at the Kemper Museum. The third Saturday of each month is Scavenger Saturdays for families. Children with adults may pick up a self-guided activity at the Visitor Services Desk and follow the clues on this "ART-astic" adventure. Once you finish the activity, one may pick up a take-home, art-making activity kit. No reservations are required.
