Paper Mache Snakes
The fourth graders have been busy making their paper mache snakes in art. After discussing how artists use form, positive and negative space in three dimensional works of art, the fourth graders made their freestanding sculptures. They used wire coat hangers for the center of their snakes and then built up the body using paper towels and paper mache. They then used glitter mod podge to make their snakes come to life.
