My husband, Alan and I
My name is Lauren Gore. I am very excited to introduce myself to you. I will be your child’s resource teacher for the 2011-2012 school year. I believe that educating a child is a team effort and therefore will be working closely with you, their general education teacher, paraprofessionals, and any other additional services that may be being provided to your child. It is extremely important to me that your child feel good about themselves and their school experience. I will work my hardest to help your child reach their full potential this year, so if there is anything throughout the year that you believe will help us accomplish this, please feel free to contact me.
On a more personal note, I grew up in a suburb of Chicago and moved to Kansas ten years ago. I graduated in 2005 from KU with a Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education and a master’s in special education. I currently live in Prairie Village with my husband, Alan. We also have a one year old yellow lab, Jackson that is completely way too spoiled but the center of our lives right now:) In my free time, I love to read, travel, and be outdoors. This is my sixth year as a resource teacher at Valley Park and I couldn’t be more proud to be a panther! This year, I will be working specifically with 2nd and 5th grade.
Thank you so much for allowing me to come and be a part of your child’s education. Please feel free to contact me with questions or concerns by email, phone or in person. I believe that communication is one of the most important keys to success. Your child’s success is my main priority, and I am so excited to be working with them this year!
