Mrs. Cara Martin

Hello! My name is Cara Martin, and I am thrilled to be the gifted education teacher at Wolf Springs Elementary! The 2017-2018 school year marks my fourteenth year in the classroom having taught third and fourth grade at Overland Trail for nine years then transitioning to gifted education at Oak Hill for the last four. I earned my undergraduate degree from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 2004 and my Masters in Gifted Education from Emporia State eight years later. Since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. There is nothing better than watching kids explore, question, connect, and grow. I truly love learning something new everyday and strive to carry this out in the classroom through personalized learning, STEAM and authentic, real-world learning experiences. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, knitting, cheering for the Wildcats, and reading about and implementing new ideas for the classroom. I look forward to a spectactular year getting to know the students, families, and community of Wolf Springs. I'm proud to be an Explorer!
