• Each year, Liberty View applies to become a Common Sense Media Digital Citizenship certified school. All of us here at Liberty View (and especially me!) are proud to be recognized as a certified school as we continue on our mission to ensure that our students are ready to traverse the online world safely and effectively.

Common Sense Media is the leading non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping kids thrive in the world of technology and media. We encourage you to check out their free resources on the Common Sense Media website to help you stay up-to-date on the ever changing world of media and technology.

In class, the third, fourth and fifth graders are led through the Common Sense curicuulum for 3 weeks where we dive into all facets of digital citizenship. Second graders utilize Google's Interland as their introduction to the concept in a fun and engaging way!

Common Sense Media also offers helpful family guides to help you navigate the appropriateness of movies, television shows, books and apps to fit your family's guidelines. To access this information, please click here

As our world becomes more and more integrated with technology, I believe that teaching our students the skills they need to be successful online is incredibly imperative. If you have any questions about our digital citizenship curriculum, please feel free to contact me at any time!
