COMMUNITY SERVICE

  • Community Service is defined as time spent doing unpaid good deeds for the benefit of others. At Liberty View, students are provided the opportunity to work toward achieving the Presidential Service Award. In order to achieve this award, students must complete a set number of volunteer service hours. Monthly after-school opportunities are offered to students to assist in helping them achieve this award. Students do have to complete hours outside of school in order to achieve the required number of hours needed.

With 5% of the student body earning at least 26 hours of community service from April 1, 2019, through March 30, 2020, Liberty View Elementary can continue to be recognized by Points of Light Foundation and the White House as a School of Service. To learn more about the Presidential Service Award, visit the official Presidential Service Award website.

Please let us know if you would like to do a service project with our students. They could be making cards, cleaning the playground, or doing an activity to share with an outside organization or a charity that is dear to your heart.

Thanks for sharing your Eagle hearts of service!
