Spring Break Meal Pick-Up

In preparation for Spring Break, meal kits for all those interested will be available for pick-up on Friday, March 12 from 11 a.m. to noon at the four pick-up locations. Meal kits will include both breakfast and lunch meals for five days. There will be no meal pick-up on March 15 or 17. There is no cost for these meals and welcome all Blue Valley families with students.

Meal Pick-Up Location Change Starting March 22

Starting on March 22 and going forward, we will offer meal pick-up at two locations only (Blue Valley High and Blue Valley Northwest). Meal pick-up will continue to be held from 11 a.m. to noon on Mondays and Wednesdays for virtual learners.

    Inclement Weather Procedure
In the event that schools are closed for in-person learning due to inclement weather on a scheduled drive-thru pick-up day, meal pick-up will continue, weather permitting, from 11:00am - noon at BVH, BVN, BVNW, and BVW. Pick-up day may vary based on weather. If in-person school is cancelled and meals will NOT be available for pick up, families will be notified.

Blue Valley’s Food and Nutrition Services department is proud to offer drive-thru meal pick-up service for remote learners. Breakfast and lunch meals are now available for anyone ages 1-18 regardless of where they live or attend school. Through this meal service, families will be able to pick-up meals during designated dates/times at one of four district sites. If your child is currently registered in the dietary accommodations program, you will be contacted by the district dietician with separate instructions for the dietary accommodation meals.

Drive-thru meal pick-up will be available at four locations.

    • Blue Valley High (6001 W 159th St.)

    • Blue Valley North (12200 Lamar Ave.)

    • Blue Valley Northwest (13260 Switzer)

    • Blue Valley West (16200 Antioch)

Meal pick-up is from 11 a.m. - noon on Mondays and Wednesdays. As a reminder, this drive-thru service applies to dates when students are learning remotely. On dates students are learning in-person, they will have the opportunity to participate in the meal service program at school as usual or bring a sack lunch.

      • On Mondays, you will receive up to 3 days of breakfast and lunch meals.

      • On Wednesdays, you will receive up to 3 days of breakfast and lunch meals.

      • If school is canceled due to inclement weather, drive-thru meal pick-up will be available the next day that school is in session from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at all four pick-up locations.

Meals will be packaged to maintain food quality. Refrigeration or freezing of some items will be required and some minimal cooking may be required. Cooking instructions will be provided as needed.

All school breakfast and lunch meals are free* (at no cost) to Blue Valley School District families. This includes students that are in-person in the school cafeterias and at the meal pick-up locations for remote learners. No free and reduced meal application is necessary to receive these free meals. The district has been approved for this no cost breakfast and lunch option through the 2020-21 school year.

*Students participating in the school meal program in-person must order a “student meal” (1/2 c. fruit or vegetable serving with two other food groups (protein, grain, dairy, vegetable) to qualify for free pricing. Anything outside of what is considered a student meal (a la carte, second entrees, extra items, etc.) will be charged to a student’s account. To add funding to your child’s account, visit the TITAN School Systems payment website.
