    English Language Arts Summer Learning

For the summer of 2022, there will be a summer reading assignment for the incoming AP Language students.  Here is a link with the assignment description.

There is not a required assignment for the other courses. However, we encourage all students, regardless of grade level or course selected for the fall, to read over the summer.  The following links are good places to get ideas for books you might enjoy.

Also, here is an open letter to high school students about reading and college readiness.

    Math Summer Learning

    Greetings BVNW Math Students!

For the summer of 2022, the mathematics department at Blue Valley Northwest wants to encourage all students to keep their math skills fresh. We hope you can find time this summer to complete the appropriate review to help prepare you for your next math class. SUMMER MATH PACKETS

In addition, we will provide a great end of summer opportunity for your student(s).  The BVNW Husky Headstart math program will be offered on August 9th – 10th.  The program is offered to students taking Algebra 1, Geometry, Honors Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus or Calculus next year.  BVNW Husky Headstart is designed for those students who want to have a stronger start in their upcoming math course.

This flyer indicates the number of days, time and cost for the workshop that meets the needs of your student.  An example to help with registration:  if your student was in Geometry during the 2021-2022 school year, and is enrolled in Algebra 2 for the 2022-2023 school year, they should attend the Algebra 2 Husky Headstart.
