Fifth Grade Guidelines
Goals for Life: v I can be angry or have a strong feeling and not get in trouble. v I can do something even if I don’t want to (or if it is hard). v I can be okay even if others are not okay.
5th Grade Class Rules: v Treat others the way you want to be treated. v No loitering in the hallways. v Be to class on time with all your supplies. v Follow all directions given by the teacher you are with the first time given. v Must ask permission to leave the room at any time. v Walk quietly in the hallways. v Set a good example for the younger students.
Heading Papers: v Name worth 5 points v Class Code (5- B, ,S or W) worth 2 points v Period (P-1, P-2, P-3 or P-4) worth 2 points Homework: v All assignments are due when you first get to class, or when you first arrive to the pod in the morning. v Name, class code, and period must be on each assignment. v Turn in papers according to the teacher’s directions (each teacher will be a little different). v Late assignments will be a penalty of 20% off your final assignment grade. v Students will be given one reminder the day the assignment is due if it is not turned in that they have one week to complete the assignment. v You may resubmit any worksheet the next day corrected for an average score. v If you are absent from class that day, you will have one full day per however many days you are gone to get your work made up. (remember if you are absent you will have more work than if you were in class) v Please make arrangements beforehand with your teachers if you are going to be gone for a period of time to set up a homework plan.
