  • The Blue Valley Elementary computer program is aligned with the International Society for Technology in Education Standards (ISTE Standards) and will provide child-centered learning activities designed to assist students in becoming effective users of technology. Students in kindergarten through second grade participate in the computer program 30 minutes per week. Students in third through fifth grade participate in the computer program for one hour per week.

The elementary computer program is divided into four instructional categories: keyboarding, basic skills, online skills, and software application. Each category of skills follows a scope and sequence, documenting the growth of the students' abilities as they progress through the elementary grades.

  • At Liberty View Elementary, we believe in educating the whole child. We utilize Common Sense Media lessons and resources to ensure that we are educating students to act as 21st century learners, which includes teaching them how to navigate the digital world. LVE is committed to teaching our students about internet safety. Common Sense Media not only teaches students to be more aware of their online presence (and their digital footprints), but also strives to educate their parents on how to help their children make smart choices online.
