S.T.A.R. Notebook & Student Planner

Learn about the tools that we use to stay organized in third grade.

Students stay organized in the classroom by keeping a S.T.A.R. Notebook and filling out the Student Planner every day. Students will be responsible for bringing both of these home every night and back to school every morning. The S.T.A.R. (Students Taking Academic Responsibility) Notebook is a binder divided into sections, and it is the way that we keep all of our school materials organized. Most of the important forms and papers go in the S.T.A.R. Notebook, including the Student Planner.

The Student Planner will document all of the activities done throughout the day as well as list any reminders or assignments that need to be completed. We strongly encourage a parent to go over the Student Planner with their child and sign it every night. This is a tool that the students will continue to use in 4^th and 5^th. Please take advantage of it!
