About Our Spelling Tests
We have spelling tests almost every week of school. Students are given the lists to study on Friday, and the test will take place on the following Friday.
The spelling words follow a pattern and go directly with our reading series. The words will pop up in the stories that the student read that week. For that reason, if we do not start a new story during a week (due to reading testing or shortened weeks), your child may not have a test that Friday.
We will do some activities in the classroom to prepare for the test, but the student is responsible for studying at home and properly preparing for the test. We suggest studying the spelling words each night for some amount of time.
