Second Grade uses a positive discipline approach with the whole class, in teams, and as individuals. Students earn small incentives for reinforcement and celebration. We are a "bucket filling" school and often discuss our OHE Virtues. We spend time practicing "social thinking" and strive to guide students to meet expected behavior to be successful. We believe parent communication is vital to maintaining a safe, happy, classroom atmosphere where students can thrive. We will send home positive emails/notes as well as ask for your support if your child needs a pep talk. We want all students to feel safe, respected, nurtured in a fun-loving atmosphere.
