Wolf Springs Middle School

Blue Valley Schools is excited to be working on the development of the district's newest middle school. During the September 2024 Blue Valley Board of Education meeting, board members approved the name "Wolf Springs Middle School" as the official name of the new school. To create a cohesive brand and identity early in the design process, Blue Valley engaged students at Blue Valley Southwest High School and Aubry Bend Middle School to gather suggestions for school names and mascot options. Following a review by district administration, the recommendations were presented to the Board of Education for approval.

At the Jan. 13 Board of Education meeting, the board approved Courtney Domoney as the inaugural principal of Wolf Springs Middle. Domoney, current principal of Oxford Middle is an experienced administrator with 20 years of experience. She looks forward to opening Wolf Springs Middle and creating an inclusive, positive and supportive learning environment where all students can thrive.

At the Feb. 10 Board of Education meeting, the board approved Chris Huggard as the inaugural assistant principal of Wolf Springs Middle. Huggard is a teacher at Aubry Bend Middle who will bring charisma, positive energy and a student-centered approach to the role of assistant principal.

Wolf Springs Middle, located on a 40-acre piece of property north of Wolf Springs Elementary, is the signature project from the Bond 2023 referendum that voters passed in January 2023. The $251,250,000 bond will invest in facilities, safety and technology that will benefit students and staff for years to come.

Visioning Process

DLR Group steered the visioning and execution of the facilities master plan for the new middle school. Through district outreach, visioning sessions and other stakeholder engagements, DLR Group delivered a facilities master plan that positions the district to provide exceptional teaching and learning environments to its students and educators.
