Logos and Branding

At the heart of Blue Valley's history lies an emblem crafted by the ingenuity of 1970s students: the iconic logo. Crafted from green corn stalks forming the letters "bv," it swiftly became emblematic of the district's rural, small-town heritage. Blue Valley embarked on a strategic endeavor to refresh its emblem, seamlessly blending tradition with progress. The outcome is a logo that honors the district’s legacy while embracing innovation — a symbol of past, present and future, encapsulating the enduring values of Blue Valley.

Secondary Logo

Our secondary logo is a simplified version of the primary logo. It provides design flexibility. This version can be used when the primary logo is not required. Use the secondary logo to enhance visibility on certain backgrounds, as headers/footers, or on less formal documents.

Submark

Our submark is an extension of our logo and communicates the brand quickly. The submark can be used when the full logo is not required. Use the submark as a footer, when space is limited and the main logo would become illegible, or in social media posts. With the opacity adjusted to 25% or less, the submark can also be used as a watermark.

Wordmark

Colors

Our color palette consists of four colors. Black and white are both implied colors. When choosing colors for designs, make sure to keep contrast and ADA visibility in mind. Be sure to use the swatches provided to ensure color consistency. The primary colors are Endeavor Blue and Steel Blue. These colors should make up approximately 80% of branded items.

Our secondary colors are Navy and Lime Green. These colors should be used less often than our primary colors. Their main function should be to highlight the brand and provide differentiation of elements.

Fonts

Our primary typeface is Code Pro. This is the font used in all logo variations. Code Pro is a modern sans serif font that showcases all capital letters and unique letter anatomy. Additionally, Code Pro has an LC or “lowercase” version that may also be used. Use Code Pro for headers, subheaders, quotes, and expressive/decorative type. Code Pro should not be used for body copy. Additionally, be cognizant of sizing when using Code Pro Light. It should not be used below 12 pt size.

Our secondary typeface is Poppins. Poppins, a Google font, is also a sans serif font with a modern feel. Use Poppins in the various weights available for body copy. It can also be used in place of Code Pro if the primary font is unavailable.
