District Accolades

The following are just some of the many distinctions Blue Valley Schools and its students have recently earned:

  • For the seventh consecutive year, Forbes ranked Blue Valley Schools as one of the best employers in Kansas. The district has been named to the list every year since the award’s inception.
  • Blue Valley's ACT composite score for 2024 graduates was 22.8. Nine Blue Valley students received a perfect ACT score during the 2024-25 school year.
  • All five Blue Valley high schools earned top 10 recognition in Kansas and placed in the top 10% nationally on the 2025 U.S. News and World Report’s Best High Schools list. 
  • Blue Valley's graduation rate is 96.2 percent.
  • With 41 seniors named finalists in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program, Blue Valley Schools had the most of any district in Kansas.
  • Two Blue Valley seniors named 2025 U.S. Presidential Scholars.
  • The district's bond rating continues to be excellent with an Aaa rating from Moody's and an AA+ rating from Standard & Poor's. The excellent rating helps to save patron tax dollars by allowing the district better interest rates on the bonds sold.
  • The CAPS Network has expanded to 100 programs, across more than 170 school districts in 22 states and three international locations. The CAPS Network continues to gain greater national visibility and awareness.
  • Niche released its 2026 Best Schools rankings and Blue Valley tops two Kansas lists — Best School Districts in Kansas and District with the Best Teachers. Additionally, the district placed among the top 1% of Best Places to Teach in Kansas. The district was also named a top 100 district, ranking among the top 1% best districts in the country.   • During the 2024-25 school year, 903 Blue Valley high school students were named Advanced Placement (AP) Scholars, achieving a record-breaking 89.5% AP exam pass rate.
