  • Welcome to Second Grade!  My name is Katie Geist and this is my 9th year of teaching, and my fifth year at Timber Creek.  I am so excited to be working at such an amazing school! 

     

    I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Kansas.  I am proud to say I am a 4th generation Jayhawk.  After graduating, I went on to teach two years in the Blue Valley District and then two years at the American School of Rio de Janeiro.  

     

    I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, including my husband Joe, a Communication Arts teacher at Blue Valley West, and my baby, Molly.  I also enjoy reading and running in my spare time.
