World Language & Chinese Immersion

Our World Language and Chinese Immersion Programs provide students with continuous opportunities to develop language proficiency and cultural competence from elementary through high school. Starting in elementary school, students participate in Spanish FLES (Foreign Language in the Elementary School), and continue their language learning through expanded language course offerings in middle and high school. Our Chinese Immersion Program begins in kindergarten and ensures consistent growth in language proficiency through high school. High school students can challenge themselves further through Advanced Placement (AP) or Seal of Bilteracy, and dual credit options, earning college credit while preparing to thrive in a global community.

Vision: Through language, students discover the world.

Mission: To develop global citizens through proficiency-based language instruction, inquiry and cultural discovery.

Seal of Biliteracy

The Seal of Biliteracy is a nation-wide credential that recognizes students proficiency in English and another language. It highlights valuable language skills, celebrates cultural diversity, and enhances students’ college, career, and global opportunities. Many employers and universities see it as proof of strong communication and multicultural competency. Seniors and families of seniors will receive additional information about the process in November from their home high school. Please visit our Canvas page for additional information.
