CLAY NORKEY

The Blue Valley community elected Clay Norkey to the Board of Education's at-large position in November 2023. Norkey has been a dedicated member of our community for nearly 25 years, including eight years on the Blue Valley Recreation Commission, where he recently served as chair. Norkey co-founded and still runs the Blue Valley West chapter of The Father’s Club, chaired both the Board of Trustees and the Church Council at Church of the Resurrection, and served as president of the Lawyers Association of Kansas City. He is a 2008 graduate of Leadership Overland Park and coached youth sports for 12 years. After graduating from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, he practiced law with Shook, Hardy & Bacon for almost two decades before opening his own firm in Overland Park in 2017. Norkey and his wife, Dr. Sherri Martin Norkey, have a blended family with nine children, all who graduated from or still attend Blue Valley schools.
