Math: This week we will begin Topic 7: Dividing Decimals.

Reading: This week we will continue Theme 3, Early America.. Students will work in small groups with me and complete reading rotations working on the following skills: Questioning, Compare and Contrast, context clues, and contractions. Inquiry research is due Wednesday. Students will meet with their Inquiry group this week to plan their research presentation.

Writing: We will continue to prepare for writing an Informational, Research piece.

Science: Lesson 7- Engineering Glue Investigation

Spelling: The test will be Friday, Dec. 9

Homework packet will be due Friday. Students should be reading 20 minutes a day and recording it on their December calendar.

Important Reminders:
*Please send back the permission slip for our A Christmas Carol field trip.
*Book Fair this week. Monday we will preview. Wednesday we will shop 10:00-10:15.
*Tuesday is Early Release. Nesting groups will meet at 1:10.
*No Library Check-out this week.
*Thursday we will have a counselor lesson.
*Science Fair Contracts are due Friday, Dec. 9.
*Monday, December 12, Spelling Bee 1:15.
*A Christmas Carol field trip will be Thurs. December 15. Students will need to dress for the theater, bring a snack from the nut-safer list, and bring a sack-lunch for when we return.
*Our class auction will be Friday, December 16. Students can begin bringing items to donate for the auction. We encourage them to consider buying items for family gifts at this auction. Please consider donating items with that in mind.
*Monday, December 19, Students can wear PJ's. We will watch Polar Express with our kindergarten buddies.
*Tuesday, December 20, 11:45 Dismissal. White Elephant Exchange will take place in the morning. Winter parties begin at 11:00.
*Science Fair Day is Friday, Jan. 19. Project set up 8am-8:35am. Family Visits noon-3:15pm. Tear Down 3:15-4pm.
