Math: This week we will pretest and begin Topic 8, Numerical Expressions, Patterns, and Relationships.

Reading: We will kick off Theme 5, New People, New Places .. Students will work in small groups with me and complete reading rotations working on the following skills: Summarizing, Sequencing Events, Antonyms, and Prefixes.

Writing: Students will choose a topic for their Informational, Research piece. They will begin research.

Social Studies: Chapter 6 Early European Settlements.

Spelling: The test will be Wednesday, Jan. 11

No Homework packet this week. December reading calendar is due by Friday. Students should be reading 20 minutes a day and recording it on their January calendar.

*Choir resumes this Thursday, 1/5 at 8:00 AM.
* Report Cards for second quarter will be available on Parent Vue this Friday, Jan. 6 at 4:00 PM.
*No School on Monday, January 16: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
*Science Fair Day is Friday, Jan. 19. Project set up 8am-8:35am. Family Visits noon-3:15pm. Tear Down 3:15-4pm.
*Tuesday, Jan. 24 is Early Release.
