Blue Valley Schools Honors 41 National Merit Finalists
Blue Valley Schools is proud to announce that 41 of our students have been named National Merit Finalists. This remarkable achievement reflects our students' dedication, hard work and academic excellence. This accomplishment also reflects the support of our educators and #BVTogether community.
These outstanding seniors have achieved this distinction through their outstanding performance on the Preliminary SAT (PSAT) tests and by meeting several requirements, including receiving an endorsement from their high school principal and maintaining a strong academic record through high school. Being considered for a National Merit Scholarship is an outstanding accomplishment. Less than one percent of high school seniors nationwide are named finalists, making this an extraordinary accomplishment. This exceptional achievement underscores the unwavering commitment to academic excellence within Blue Valley Schools.
Blue Valley's finalists will now compete for approximately 6,870 National Merit Scholarships, each valued at $2,500. Scholarship recipients are selected based on their abilities, skills and accomplishments with an emphasis on their potential for success in rigorous college studies and beyond.
