BVHS congratulates Melody Tzang for winning the Kansas American String Teachers Assn. State Solo Competition. Her harp performance will be featured in the state association's conference next week.
Congratulations also goes to Nikhil Reddy (violin) and Melody Tzang (harp and viola) for being recognized as three-year members of the KS All-State Honors Orchestra. This achievement recognizes both a very high level of musical achievement as well and the sacrifice needed to create time to participate in district and state level ensembles in every year of eligibility.
More congratulations go out to this year's members of the All State Orchestra. Tigers achieving All-State status include Melody Tzang, Nikhil Reddy, and Madeline Chang. Eddy Jiang was named an alternate.
