Third grade teachers are excited to invite parents, older siblings, grandparents, relatives, or other special people to surprise your child by being a "Mystery Reader" this year in the classroom! Students LOVE having their family and friends visit our classroom to share in our learning by reading a favorite story aloud to our class. Readers may bring a book of their choice or choose from our school or classroom library.
Please visit your child's teacher's page and select 2 or 3 dates that work for you so we can accommodate as many readers as possible. Because this is a surprise for students, all communication will be done via email. We will confirm your official Mystery Reader date as soon as possible so you can plan accordingly. You will also receive an email a few weeks before your scheduled visit as a reminder and also asking for five clues to help our class guess who you are. Remember, you are a mystery to the class, so try not to tell your student when you are coming!
We can't wait to meet our 2010-2011 Mystery Readers!Sincerely,
Third Grade Teachers
