ABOUT THE TASKFORCE

The district is forming a Chinese Immersion Advisory Task Force that includes representation from current Chinese Immersion families and stakeholders including:

• Chinese Immersion families 

• Chinese Immersion teachers

• BVEA representatives

• Valley Park and Wolf Springs families

• Building and district administration

• BOE representatives
  
  

The task force will assist the district with identifying options for sustaining Mandarin in Blue Valley. Meetings will begin after spring break and throughout the summer with the goal to come back to the Board of Education with program recommendations in the fall. Members of the Chinese Immersion Advisory Task Force are asked to commit to attending all scheduled meetings through fall 2023. 

CHINESE IMMERSION ADVISORY TASK FORCE 

Applications for the task force closed at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8. Three Chinese Immersion representatives per school will be chosen by lottery with a priority on grade-level representation. Task force members will be notified by close of business on Friday, March 10.
