• Fun facts:

I've lived in 8 different states: California, Missouri, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Kentucky, Massachusetts, North Carolina, and now, Kansas!  I spent most of my growing up years in New Jersey and lived in Kentucky the longest (12 years).  The longest I have lived in the same house was in North Carolina (10 years).

I majored in Elementary Education at the University of Kentucky (and only went to one basketball game in Rupp Arena during my four years there).

I married my sweet husband, Glen, in 1996.  He majored in education in college too!

I love art, movies, theatre, traveling, crafts, decorating, church, and eating out.

My three children, Anna Katherine (16), Wilson (13), and Benjamin (13), were all born in Kentucky.

We moved to Kansas four years ago from North Carolina. We miss the mountains, but we love this area!

I don't like to watch movies more than once.

I earned my Master's degree in Instructional Technology from Appalachian State University in 2009. It's basically a degree that teaches teacher's how to incorporate technology into the curriculum.

My greatest accomplishment of the past few years is finishing a 50 mile bike race in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. It is called Blood, Sweat, and Gears, and it was hard!

    I love kids!

My sister is a chef who is married to a jazz musician.  My brother is an environmental specialist married to an actress. I have the three of the cutest nephews in the world...Booker (5), Roscoe (3) and Otis (1) and I have identical twin neices who will turn 1 in October.  I have really great parents and in-laws too. I love my family!

When I was in fourth grade:

I remember learning long division (it was hard!) and writing Haikus.  My favorite food was fried chicken and mashed potatoes.

I had a dog named Cricket. He was my favorite pet growing up! We made houses and pet hotels for him out of big cardboard boxes.

My friends I played in the woods behind our house all summer long.

I played the French horn and piano, took gymnastics, and loved picking strawberries every spring at the farm down the road from our house.

Ronald Reagan was president, Star Wars episode IV: Return of the Jedi just came out and Cabbage Patch Dolls were on every little girl's Christmas list.
