Computer class is the Specials Class where the student has an opportunity to explore electronic technology. We spend a lot of time learning how to be responsible digital citizens through Common Sense Media lessons.  We also concentrate on keyboarding and mouse skills. Computer class is held for 1/2 an hour per week for Kindergarten through second grade and one hour per week for third, fourth, and fifth grades.

You can find great activities for practicing typing at home on Symbaloo grades 3-5.  Click on the BV Keyboarding icon to find websites that will help students improve their keyboarding skills.  Try out Visibone Keyboarding and Welcome to Doorway Text Type 2 for keyboarding practice.  Younger students might enjoy Dance Mat Typing.
