Dear MTE families,
Oh my goodness, we are so blessed with an amazing community! Thanks to all the volunteers who stepped up and helped create such a wonderful Field Day experience for our students! A very special thanks to Mrs. Courtney and the parent leaders, Kally Germano, Whitney Lindsey, and Ali Lyman! It takes everyone working together to make all our wonderful events happen.
I want to give a very sincere "THANK YOU!" to Katy Borders for leading our PTO during this school year. Her enthusiasm, kindness, and focus on students has been instrumental in the success of this year. You may not realize, but Katy was at almost every PTO event and school event. As a leader, she jumped in and helped the committees, the teachers, and the students whenever needed. She has given countless hours to help our students and staff have the most wonderful year possible.
Katy, Borders, our community appreciates YOU! Thank you!
This is my last Sunday message for the school year. I just watched the Blue Valley North graduation and I was reminded how time flies. I am so proud of our seniors! I am also proud of our MTE kiddos. We have had a wonderful year together with so much learning, growing, tears, and so many laughs! Thank you to all our families for sharing your most precious with us. It is an honor to be a part of your child's journey! Thanks for all you do to make MTE such a special community and place for children to learn.
It is such a bittersweet time! We are excited about the summer but we also have such mixed emotions about saying goodbye to our fifth grade students! The classrooms will be winding down, cleaning out desks, finishing up last minute work, and celebrating the year together. On Thursday, we will have our annual all school yearbook signing. A special thank you Brooklyn Mieczkowski for her hard work on the yearbook during the last few years! This is such a great memento of our year.
On Friday, we will have the K-4 student "clap" for the fifth graders on Friday, before the fifth grade farewell. The farewell is for adults only. (Students not yet in elementary school are welcome to attend if childcare is an issue. 🤗) Our K-4 students will be in their classrooms closing down their school year.
We do dismiss early on Friday. We will start dismissal at 11:30 and finish with dismissal by 11:45.
I will send a "save the date" email in June for our August return-to-school events.
I hope all of you are able to have a summer that is what your family needs! The office and I work for a bit in June and then we are off for a few weeks before our return the third week of July.
I am excited to work in the yard, catch up with friends, and host a Fourth of July gathering for my family.
As always, please contact me if you have any questions, comments, concerns!
