Hello! 

My name is Mark Heck and I will be your substitute assistant principal for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year.    

I retired in June of 2019 after 38 years in education in the Piper, Olathe, and Shawnee Mission school districts.  I have been a 1^st grade teacher, a 3^rd grade teacher, a 6^th grade teacher, an assistant principal, and a principal.  The last ten years of my career were spent as the principal of Forest View Elementary School in Olathe.  I have enjoyed every school district and school building that I have ever worked in and I am ready to work hard for Overland Trail during the time that I will be here. 

I look forward to getting to know students, staff, and parents over the next few months.  I am here for you.
