Mrs. Alicia Anderson

Hello OTE Community,

I am thrilled to return to the Blue Valley School District with two decades of experience as an educator. I began my teaching career in the Blue Valley School District in 2001. In 2002 my family relocated to Tennessee where I taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade in Memphis City Schools. Upon moving back to the Kansas City area in 2012 I desired to make an even broader impact in education beyond the classroom walls among teachers, students and the school community as a whole. Therefore, I broadened my career in education in the Shawnee Mission School District as a Math Specialist then went on to become an Innovation Specialist, Instructional Coach and most recently an Administrative Intern.

I was born and raised in Olathe, Kansas, and graduated from Olathe North High School. I earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from MidAmerica Nazarene University, my Master of Education degree from Walden University, and my certificate of Administration from Pittsburg State University. I currently reside in Olathe with my husband Keith and our young adult children, Allison and Brandyn. I enjoy spending time with my family, working out, running, gardening and singing.

I am truly honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at Overland Trail Elementary and eager to begin building positive relationships with the staff, students, and school community. It is my mission as an administrator to sustain school and community wide connectedness, commit to collaboration and learning and to continuously enhance student achievement and growth.

All the best,

Alicia Anderson
