Kathleen Cigich

Lakewood Elementary is a community of learners committed to academic growth. The staff and administration are committed to providing students with personalized learning in a supportive environment in which they can flourish.  Lakewood Elementary prides itself on the feeling of community and everyone working together to ensure a successful experience for each student. 

Mrs. Cigich has served as principal at Lakewood Elementary since 2019.  Prior to her time as principal, Mrs. Cigich was the art teacher at Lakewood from 2007-2013.  She also has worked in curriculum development and professional learning at Blue Valley District Office.  Mrs. Cigich received her degree in art education from Emporia State and two master degrees in Educational Technology and Educational Administration. 

Mrs. Cigich is married to her husband, Ben, and they have one son, Owen.
