Mr. Scott McFarland

I began my teaching career in Blue Valley at Overland Trail Elementary in 2002. I then moved to Cedar Hills Elementary as a 5th grade teacher when that school opened in 2004. I also spent two years teaching 6th and 7th grade Math at Prairie Star Middle School. I have spent the last 10 years as a building principal in both elementary and middle schools in Olathe. I am happy to be returning to Blue Valley and I absolutely love being the principal at Valley Park.

I have a wife, Kim, who teaches 6th grade Math in Olathe. I have a daughter, Halle, who is a sophomore at Spring Hill High School, and a son, Ty, who is an 8th grader at Woodland Spring Middle School. I spend most of my time watching my kids play softball, volleyball, basketball and baseball. When I'm not at school or watching my kids play sports, I enjoy running, biking and spending time working in my yard.
