Monday: Day 3: Music/P.E.
Tuesday: Day 4: Spanish/Music
Wednesday: Day 5: Art
Thursday: Day 1: Spanish/P.E.
Friday: Day 2: Computer
Math: This week we will begin our first math unit, Place Value. Students will look at tenths, hundredths, and thousandths.
Reading: Students will review good reading strategies, write about what they are thinking as they read, and complete placement assessments.
Writing: Students are working on decorating their journals, brainstorming writing topics, and completing a writing sample to help me get to know them as authors.
Social Studies: Chapter 2, Native Americans and their Land
Spelling: No test this week.
Homework packet will come home with your child on Monday and be due Friday. Students should read 20 minutes a day at least 5 days a week. Their reading bookmark log came home Friday and will be due this Friday.
Important Reminders:
*We will have our first library check-out on Wednesday.
*Choir contracts and Punt, Pass, and Kick forms are due this Friday, Aug. 19.
*This Friday is Spirit Day. Wear OHE gear or our school colors blue and red.
*Thursday, August 25 is Back to School Night. There will be two sessions. 6:30-7:30 or 7:15-7:45. Much of the information I will share can be viewed on my webpage under the General Information tab.
*Tuesday, August 30 will be Punt, Pass, & Kick.
