COMMUNITY SERVICE
-
In addition to the many service projects we do as a school community, PSE is joining other Blue Valley schools in offering students the opportunity to track volunteer hours to earn a Community Service Award. This award is given for 50 or more volunteer hours in a year. Hours are tracked from March 2019 to March 2020. The district also recognizes the top 4 volunteers (in terms of hours logged) from each school at a ceremony in May. Use the service hour tracking form to track your hours.
Students should turn in their log no matter how many hours they complete. It can be handwritten or typed. Our goal is 100% participation in community service on any level.
We will be giving out awards to PSE students who meet the following criteria:- 10 hours of service = PSE Bronze Award
- 20 hours of service = PSE Silver Award
- 30 hours of service = PSE Gold Award
- 50 hours of service = Presidential Award (Our top 4 Presidential Award winners will be recognized at a Blue Valley award reception.)
- 10 hours of service = PSE Bronze Award
