Mr. Jon Holsapple

ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

Hey everyone!

My name is Jon Holsapple and I am honored to serve as Oxford Middle School’s Assistant Principal for the 2023-2024 school year. As a life-long local to the area, I grew up in the Blue Valley School District from Kindergarten through high-school where I graduated from Blue Valley West. After graduating, I began my educational career at Emporia State University where I majored in Secondary Education in English Language Arts before later attaining a master's degree from Baker University and an administrative license from Pittsburgh State University. My wife was a teacher in the Blue Valley School District and together we have two sons who will be Blue Valley students themselves.

My experience in education has been entirely in the middle school setting. I began my career in Spring Hill School District where I taught 7th Grade English before coming back to Blue Valley and teaching 7th and 8th grade English and Social Studies and serving as an Instructional Design Coach and Administrative Intern at Aubry Bend Middle School.

As an educator, my passion for teaching is coupled with my passion for designing engaging learning experiences and working with middle school students. As an educator and principal, I aspire to provide a meaningful and engaging learning experience that is tailored specifically to students’ interests and real-world applications, all while working to ensure students don’t leave middle school as the infamous bridging years between adolescence and young adulthood, but instead as a time through which they discover themselves and their passions in life.
