Hello Families!

Welcome to Kindergarten at CHE!  I am so excited to have your child in my classroom!  Cedar Hills is a wonderful place to teach and for your child to begin the journey of being a lifelong learner!

Let me tell you a bit about myself.  I am a KU grad as is my husband.  Our family are huge Jayhawk fans!!  My husband Dan and I have been married 25 years.  He is a terrific father to our three beautiful children.  Our oldest son Cody is 25, he safely completed four years in the Marines.  He is now working and engaged.  Our daughter, Brittany, will be a senior in college, and Connor is going to be a sophmore at Blue Valley NW High School.  Our family enjoys sports, camping, movies, music and traveling. 

 Kindergarten is easily my favorite grade to teach.  I enjoy seeing the amazing growth that the students achieve throughout the year.  Singing songs, painting, counting, reading and writing are part of our daily routine.  I have been teaching for twenty years, the last nine of which have been in kindergarten.  I knew I was in the right place when one of my students kept calling me mom and explaining, she did that because she just felt like she belonged to me!  Kindergarten is an amazing grade, their smiling faces, silly comments and blunt honesty keep me laughing throughout the day.

Together we will achieve many exciting milestones.  I can't wait to get started, it will be a wonderful year!
