Degrees and Certifications:

Laura LaHue

Hello Cedar Hills Cheetahs!

I am Laura LaHue and I am your proud principal.  In my mind, there is no better way to bring a community together than through the neighborhood school.  Providing an inclusive, supportive environment is essential to individual achievement, and this belief is continuously cultivated throughout the halls of our school. I highly value introspection and view personal growth as a daily practice; therefore, I thrive in an environment that allows me to invest in the growth of others.  When I say it is my honor to serve as your principal, it could not be more true: building others up in turn builds me up.

I have spent my entire educational career in the Blue Valley School District, and taught at the elementary and middle school level after graduating from K-State. I attended UMKC to obtain my Master's Degree in Educational Administration, and went on to serve as an Administrative Intern at Timber Creek Elementary and Assistant Principal at Valley Park Elementary.

My husband, Patrick, and I have two kids, Autumn and Dean, and a spunky Boxer dog named Dutch.  Outside of school, you can find me on the sidelines of our kids' soccer and t-ball games, reading (likely Science Fiction), soaking up the sun, or deep in conversation.

Well-being is my #1 priority and value, and it is my pledge to help teachers and students feel pride in the work they do every day - to be their best self - here at Cedar Hills. I greatly look forward to being a part of your child's life.
